BISBEE -- Katherine C. (Meeks) Bisbee. Katherine passed away Sunday, November 4, 2007. She was born in Wichita, KS July 11, 1911. Mrs. Bisbee was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace A. Bisbee. She is survived by her son: Wallace II and his wife, Patricia; son: James and his wife, Cynthia; and daughter: Beverly Koch and her husband, Stephen, all of Albuquerque; grandsons: Michael Bisbee of Albuquerque; James Coyer of Encinitas, CA; granddaughters: Blair Bisbee of Law Cruces, NM; Susan Bisbee-White of Columbia, CT; Laura Bisbee of Astoria, OR; Kelly Doorn of Newark, IL and Kathy Penn of Denver, CO; nephew, Jerry Churchill and his wife, Theda of White Sulpher Springs, MT; and niece, Carolyn McCandless and her husband, Dave of Tijeras, NM as well as 12 great-grandchildren; and her long-time neighbors: Jim and Shirley Gravlin. Katherine grew up in Pawhuska, OK where she had a wonderful childhood with her parents: Lyle and Carrie Meeks and her brother, Tom and sister, Marie. She attended UNM and was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. Katherine was a loving mother and grandmother who always had time for her "kids" at the big kitchen table. She was a member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church where she volunteered for many years. She'll be remembered for her practical, non-judgmental, feisty and caring personality. Her children and grandchildren always sought her company until the day she died. A private Graveside Service will be later this week and a Memorial Service is to be held at a later date.
