MARTINEZ -- Sofia Martinez, age 81, beloved sister, grandmother, and aunt, was called home by the Lord, Monday, September 17, 2007. Sofia was a life long resident of Corrales, NM, and a member of the Catholic Community. She was born to the late Augustine and Trinidad Wagner, founders of the Wagner Farm in Corrales. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Martinez. Sofia is survived by her brother, Gus Wagner and wife, Arlene; her sisters, Mary De Baca and husband, George, Mary Anna Swann, Adela C De Baca, and Eva Cordova; three granddaughters, Donella Garcia, Anna Torres, and Angelina Leckey; six great-grandchildren; a special niece, Gina Wagner; and numerous nieces, nephews and other beloved family members and friends. Sofia will be greatly missed by her loving family. Ms. Martinez will lie in state this evening (Tuesday) from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at San Ysidro Catholic Church, where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. at San Ysidro Catholic Church in Corrales. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. also at the Church. Interment will follow at the Corrales Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rick Cordova, Anthony Wagner, Manuel C De Baca, Bobby Wagner, Arthur Martinez, and San C De Baca. Honorary bearers will be Jimmy Wagner, Wallie Cordova, Leonard C De Baca, Dave C De Baca, and Danny C De Baca.
