EDWARDS -- Marjorie "Chris" Edwards, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 11, 2007. She was born April 25, 1923 in Jefferson County, KY to Estes D. and Josephine Barnett. She proudly served her country during World War II as a member of the United States Marine Corps. After serving in the Marines, she returned to Albuquerque to work in the insurance field and as a florist until her retirement. "Chris" was a volunteer at Lovelace Medical Center for 18 years and served on the Lovelace Volunteer Auxiliary Board of Directors. She was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans. Per "Chris's" wishes there will be no services. Interment will be held at a later date at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Her friends wish to express appreciation to J.C.
