CHRISTIANSEN -- Elaine P. Christiansen, age 77, of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, September 11, 2007. Elaine was born April 19, 1930 in Chicago, IL to Jean and John Cesaretti. Growing up she embraced and enjoyed life, including swing dance competitions. She and her family moved to Albuquerque where her father pursued his dream of opening a bakery. She married Tom Christiansen in 1953 and they traveled and lived the military life. They retired in Albuquerque. Elaine was an artist, who enjoyed many hobbies including cross-stitch, sewing, oil painting and pottery which were among her favorites. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, giving all that she was to them in every way. Due to her husband's military service, she shouldered many of the parental responsibilities. She was greatly involved in her children's lives; school, sports and scouting. Elaine was very much a lady and would entertain quite graciously at all functions. Elaine is survived by her husband of 54 years, Tom Christiansen, Jr.; daughter, Barbara Chudik and her husband, Barth of Oconomowoc, WI; son, Tom Christiansen III and his wife, Mary of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Barth Thomas, Jenny Carter & Ben Christiansen; great-grandchild, Julia Thomas; brother, Lester Cesaretti and wife, Bobby. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 15, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at the Shepherd of the Valley Presbyterian Church, 1801 Montano Rd. NW. A family Committal Service will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
