DECKER -- Leonard A. Decker, 80, a resident of Albuquerque since 1935, went to meet his Savior Sunday, September 9, 2007. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Bea Decker; he is also survived by his children, Paula Reno and husband, Randolph, Rick Decker and partner, Paul Winters, and Pati Callahan and husband, Pat; grandchildren, Lisa Sanchez and husband Robert, Sara Nall, Carlos Trujillo; great-grandchildren Anthony, Christian and Makenzie Sanchez; brother, Arnold Decker all of Albuquerque; brother-in-law, Fred Foster and wife, Pat of West Monroe LA and Sister-in-law, Frances Foster of Pueblo CO; many cousins and aunts and uncles; lots of friends and Brothers and Sisters in the Lord. Mr. Decker served in the Army Air Corps during World War Two. After returning from the war and getting married to Bea, Leonard was instrumental in the creation of the Albuquerque Speedway Park where he also raced. He was also involved the Indian Motorcycle Club, but he actualy rode a Harley. Mr. Decker worked at American Car and Foundry (ACF) before going into business with his family and starting Decker's Door and Screen. Mr. Decker served in his church starting at The Answer on Zuni, going through Interfaith Bible Chapel and settling at Oasis Family Church. He was also a very active member of Gideons International for many years. His love for his family was only surpassed by his love for the Lord. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, September 12, 2007, 10:30 a.m., at Oasis Family Church 4800 Lomas Blvd. NE.
