ALEXANDER -- Frances Marie Alexander passed away peacefully in the arms of her family on August 25, 2007. Frances was born to Wilson H. Tanner and Catha M. Tanner on April 30, 1931 in Sapulpa, OK. She graduated from Lake Charles High School in Lake Charles, LA and she attended the University of Denver where she met her husband, Charles. She earned her BS and MS degrees from Western State College in Gunnison, CO. She taught at Blackstock and O'Leary elementary schools in Gunnison for 20 years. She lived in Albuquerque, NM, for the last 16 years. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Charles P. Alexander; and her sons, Chuck, Roger, Bruce and Dan; her daughters-in-law, Katy, Anna and Deanna; and her grandchildren, Michael, Tara, Paul, James, Dillon and Kelsey. She also leaves a dedicated and loving sister, Marjorie Freeman. Frances was tenderly and lovingly cared for in her final days by the Presbyterian Kaseman Hospice staff, whom she dearly loved. She was a beautiful wife, a wonderful mother and a great school teacher. Her love of family and teaching had no bounds.
