CREEL -- Clarence A. "AL" Creel, born May 16, 1921 passed away on August 17, 2007 in Albuquerque, NM. He was born in Lanark, IL and spent his youth in Cherokee, IA before joining the Navy in 1941. Al and his wife, Eunice, moved to Albuquerque in 1973. He was a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University and served in the U.S. Navy for 25 years, retiring in 1968 as a Captain. Al enjoyed travel and all sports, participating in many, with a special flair for bowling. He was an Elk and a Mason. He was member of the Crystal Cathedral Church in Garden Grove, CA. Cremation has occurred. Private services will be held at graveside when interment occurs at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Cherokee, IA. Boothby Funeral Home is handling arrangements in Cherokee, IA.
