HARRELL -- Mary Jo Harrell passed away quietly August 2, 2007. She was born in Philadelphia, PA August 5, 1924. She was the daughter of Col. and Mrs. William Stuart Eley and lived in Panama, Northern Virginia and the Philippines. She attended Randolph Macon and Mary Washington Colleges in Virginia, along with graduate work at Stanford and Ohio State. She was married at Ft. Leavenworth Kansas in 1945. She was a career social worker for the Veterans Administration and a life-long member of the DAR. She was an avid horsewoman and patron of the Santa Fe Opera, as well as an active member of St. John's Episcopal Church. Above all she loved Albuquerque, NM; she loved the majesty of the Sandia Mountains and the artistry of Santa Fe. She is survived by her son, Stuart J. and wife, Martha Harrell and daughter, Christie Hall and husband, Robert Hall along with grandchildren, Hilary, Michael, Alex, Jeffrey and Kyle all of Phoenix, AZ. She will be buried with her husband, Col. Jack Harrell at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Service will be Friday, August 17, 2007, The Cathedral Church of St. John, 318 Silver, SW. Interment will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to The Cathedral Church of St. John, P. O. Box 1246, Albuquerque, NM 87103.
