DURAN -- Ralph J. Duran, age 50, a lifelong resident of Cuba, New Mexico passed away on July 12, 2007. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rafael and Audelia Duran; his little brother, Julian and two infant brothers. He is survived by his wife, Jessie Schmitt; stepsons, Joseph Aragon of Coyote N.M., Michael Gonzales and wife, Megan; his two beloved granddaughters, Christina and his "Terror" Jessica and newborn grandson, Michael John Gonzales, all from Farmington, N.M.; siblings, Emma Dominguez of Rio Rancho, N.M, Jennie Chapman and husband, Bill of Phoenix, Az., Cecilia Duarte and husband, Jose of Los Lunas, N.M, Shemo Duran and wife, Flora of Cuba, N.M, Gilbert Duran and wife Sharon of Bernalillo, N.M, Fabiola Morales and husband, Clarence of Cuba, N.M, Rick Duran and wife, Terri of Lindrith, N.M; his sister-in-law, Yole Duran of Cuba, N.M. He is also survived by numerous "favorite" nieces and nephews; his beloved Tia Lucy Casuas of Cuba, N.M, his Tio Eliseo Jacquez and wife, Eufemia of Gallina, N.M, and Tio Jake Arellano of Bloomfield, N.M; a host of Duran and Jacquez family cousins, as well as numerous other relatives. Ralph will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be held at Immaculate Conception Church in Cuba, N.M. on Tuesday, July 17, 2007 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., followed by a Rosary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. also at Immaculate Conception Church, followed by interment at the Cuba Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Nathan Garcia, Michael Gonzales, Paul Chapman, Johnny Blue Duran, David Duran and John White Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brian Duran, Kevin Duran, Gerald Garcia, Nicolas Jojola and Ray Carabajal.
