CHAVEZ -- Florencio J. Chavez, 59, was called home, Sunday, July 15, 2007. He was born June 6, 1948 in Grants, a son of Cruz and Helen Martinez Chavez. He married Martha Bahe, April 11, 1970 in St. Michaels, AZ. Florencio was a Vietnam veteran. He was a firefighter in Gallup for over 20 years. Survivors include his wife of Albuquerque; one son and one daughter, Sandra (JR) Baca, Rio Rancho, and Cruz Chavez, Albuquerque; four grandchildren, Kirstie, Audrianna, Elena, Daniel; two brothers, Santa Cruz Chavez, Bernalillo, and Louis Chavez, Albuquerque; five sisters, Ann, Lydia, Gloria, Cynthia, and Theresa Chavez, all of Las Vegas, NV. He was preceded in death by two brothers. He will be greatly missed and loved by his family and friends. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. in the French Mortuary Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW, with Deacon Manuel Montoya officiating.
