EBEL -- Ted J. Ebel, 67, passed away at his home in Pendaries on Thursday, June 14, 2007. Ted, along with his partner, Dennis Brink, started and operated Albuquerque Auto Auction from 1978 - 88. It was the first and still the only dealers auto auction in New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Randee (Brown) of Santa Fe in 2005. Ted is survived by his wife of 48 years, Karen; son, Garth and his wife, Melanie (Herrera); seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters; and many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all that knew him. He was a kind and honest man, a loving husband, father, and grandpa. Services will be held Friday, June 22, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Rociada Baptist Church followed by lunch at the Community Center in Pendaries and a round of golf. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Esperanza Hospice and Home Care, PO Box 270, Mora, NM 87732. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson Funeral Home, 505-425-6551.
