WIMBERLY -- William Rufus Wimberly "Pop", 93, passed away at a local hospital. William was a longtime resident of Southwest Albuquerque, William passed away on June 5, 2007. William is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Theresa Wimberly; and their two sons, Lloyd and his wife, Loureen, and Wayne and his wife, Dru; as well as seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. William was a kind and gentle man that will be missed by many. Services will be held on Friday, June 8th from 2:00-3:00 p.m.; final viewing will be from 3:00-5:00 p.m., at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, with Dr. Tim Marrow, of the First Baptist Church of West Albuquerque, officiating.
