CAMPBELL -- Ann Hadden Campbell was born September 23, 1942 in Elizabethtown, KY. She entered into the presence of her Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday, June 5, 2007. Ann was the wife of Gerald W. Campbell and mother of a daughter and two sons. Besides her husband she leaves to celebrate her life her daughter, Leigh Ann Hella; son, Stephen Gregory and friend, Chaunla Wallace; her grandsons, Kaleb Ivar Hella, Dylan Jordan Gregory, and Xavier Wallace, all of Albuquerque; her brother, Dr. Steve Hadden and wife, Joy of Tampa, FL; her mother-in-law, Maxine Campbell; brothers-in-law, Joe Campbell and wife, Donna and Greg Campbell and wife, Carol; sister-in-law, Kathy Pirolo and husband, Ray; and nieces and nephews, Tommy, Jonathan, and Jordan Hadden, Lindsey and Cory Campbell, Reoyne, Melody and Matt Pirolo, Amanda Campbell, Daryl Pruitt, and Lisa Hinkson. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Osie Hadden; and her son, Charles Alan Gregory. She graduated from Georgetown Baptist College, Georgetown, KY with a degree in Home Economics. In 1977 she moved to Albuquerque and established a successful career in real estate. Ann was recognized and honored as a top producer by her company and the Albuquerque Board of Realtors. Gerry, Ann's husband of 26 years was her greatest love. He was forever faithful and loving. He cared for every need through three different kinds of cancer from 1989 - 2007. Ann called him her 'Guardian Angel'. He was Ann's full time caretaker while at the same time managed their company. Ann was an active supporter of the American Cancer Society. In 1999, Ann was honored with the Nancy Floyd Haworth Memorial Lectureship Spirit of Hope Award. In 2000 she was selected to chair the American Cancer Society's 50th Anniversary Gala. Ann's many other interests included reading, participating in Christian ministries, public speaking, cooking, bicycle riding, going to movies, and traveling. She treasured spending time with her grandsons. A lovely Southern Lady of grace and charm, Ann enjoyed her home and shared her gift of hospitality by entertaining and visiting with her family and many, many friends. The family would like to thank Dr. James Tryon, Dr. Geoffrey Meintz, Dr. Robert Mals, Dr. Amy Tarnower, Ed, Marsha and all the IR staff at Lovelace, Vista Care Hospice Nurse, Leann Vincent and Home-Instead caregivers, Heather and Brenda for the loving care given to Ann in these past months. The family would also like to thank Peggy Baillio, Kay Olson, Merle-Dean Sanchez, Linda Kramer and all the other friends who spent countless hours caring for Ann during the last months of her life. "For me to live is Christ and to die is gain" Phil 1:21. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, June 8, 2007, 3:00 p.m., at Hoffmantown Church, 8888 Harper Rd. NE. Cremation has taken place.
