LUCERO -- Juan C. Lucero, aka "Gato", passed away Monday, May 28, 2007. He was born in Juan Tomas, NM to Eulalio Lucero and Louisa Trujillo Lucero. Juan was a resident of Albuquerque and a well known and respected musician. He now joins his wife, Fita and son, Mario, who preceded him in death. Juan is survived by his three sons, Albert Lucero and wife, Rita, Flavio Lucero and wife, Augusta, Roger Lucero and wife, Lucille; one daughter, Martha Duran and husband, Martin; special niece, Delilah Coop; 14 grandchildren; and many great- grandchildren; other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. Services will be held at St. Therese Catholic Church, 4th and Mildred NW. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, May 31, 2007 at 8:15 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 1, 2007 at 8:00 a.m., with burial following at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Gabaldon, Paul Lucero Sr., Paul Lucero Jr., Albert Lucero II, Tony Ewing and Reggie Tullier. Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Ewing and Patrick Lucero.
