PIERSON -- Norah Pierson June 14, 1940 - May 12, 2007 Founder of the Golden Eye since 1971 Our beloved Norah moved on to her next adventure the morning of Saturday, May 12, 2007. An outspoken woman of great talent, morals, mind and imagination, she left the world suddenly but peacefully in her beloved ancestral home in Wainscott, NY. Norah was and will always be a national treasure for her dedicated and brilliant contribution to the American craft jewelry movement, and the world of fine art, Norah's loving, spirited, mentorship greatly altered the lives of many people in the industry today, as well as the hearts and minds of those she touched along her life 's journey. There now lies a hole in our hearts. Let it be filled by strength and wisdom as we remember Norah's influence on our lives. You were the quintessential one of a kind, dear Norah. Your vision and love will remain in our hearts and in this world forever. Friends and family of Norah are invited to attend a celebration in honor of her life on June 24, 2007, 2:00 p.m. at the Legal Tender in Lamy, NM.
