TIMMONS -- Joe Riley Timmons, 83, a resident of Albuquerque for 27 years, formerly of Lafayette, IN, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2007. Mr. Timmons retired from the Jewel Tea Company after 40 years as a meat specialist. He had a weekend knife business at the Albuquerque flea market for sixteen years. In addition he enjoyed summertime wall-eye fishing in Cass Lake, MN for thirty years. He honorably served in the United States Army-Air Force during WWII. Mr. Timmons is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dorothy; his three children, Linda Mansfield and husband, Greg of Belen, NM, Patricia Puetz and husband, Daniel of Albuquerque, NM, Tom Timmons and wife, Debra of Wayne City, IL. Mr. Timmons is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two sisters of Lafayette, IN; and one brother of Colfax, IN; other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. Cremation has taken place. Memorial and Burial Services were held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, Wednesday, May 2, 2007.
