VELASQUEZ -- Joe F. Velasquez passed away Thursday, May 3, 2007 in Los Lunas, NM at the age of 68. He was preceded in death by his brother, Felix Mascareno. Mr. Velasquez is survived by his wife, Rita Velasquez; children, Sally Velasquez, Delfina Archibeque, Billie Alberti, Robert Serrano, Anthony Serrano, and Betty Vigil; grandchildren, Erica and Leo Salcido, Samantha, Jose, and Amanda Torres, Jerry, Sergio, and Ashley Alberti, Bobby and Joey Serrano, Michael and Maria Serrano, Antonia and Dominic Hernandez, and Eunbie Ahn; great-grandchildren, Chloe Alberti, Soluna Garvelena, Madahi Villa, Ricky Serrano, and Fabien, Zane, and Angelina Hernandez; sons-in-law, Robert Chavez, Manuel Archibeque, and Edwin Alberti; daughter-in-law, Kristine Serrano; sister, Sarah Hernandez; brother, Joe S. Velasquez; and lots of friends and wonderful neighbors. Visitation for Mr. Velasquez will be held on Monday, May 7, 2007 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at San Jose Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Dominic Hernandez, Michael Serrano, Raymond Vigil, Lawrence Vigil, Manuel Archibeque and Leo Salcido.
