GOSS -- Reverend Donald L. Goss, age 89, passed from this life into Jesus' arms, Saturday, April 21, 2007 in Albuquerque, NM. Donald was born August 25, 1917 in Garfield, WA to Lyman and Myrtle Goss. He met Ida Fullerton while ranching and they married September 21, 1939. He was called to preach while ranching in Garfield, and began pastoring in 1945. Donald pastored in both the Wesleyan and Nazarene churches in the Northwest over the years, and did some evangelistic traveling as well. A godly man, Donald touched many lives, and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was our hero. After retiring, Donald and Ida moved to Albuquerque, and have lived here 20 years. Survivors include his wife, Ida; four children, Geraldine (Raymond) Hobbs of Clarkston, WA, Carolyn (John) Tucker of Spokane, WA, Marlyn (Robin) Wright of Spokane, WA, Wesley (Debbie) Goss of Sandia Park, NM; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; many other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. A Memorial Service will be held at Heights First Church of the Nazarene, 8401 Paseo del Norte NE, in Albuquerque, on Friday, May 4, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. with Dr. Bill Nielson officiating. Interment will be in Garfield, WA. A memorial has been established and in lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Carolyn Tucker, PO Box 18408, Spokane, WA. 99228.
