KELLER -- John Gregory Keller, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, NM, died of heart complications Monday, April 16, 2007 at Veteran's Medical Center in Albuquerque. He was born the third child of Charles N. Keller and Lillian B. Keller on January 19, 1945 in Dayton, OH. He grew up closely devoted to his Catholic faith and was an altar boy for many years. He acquired a great interest (shared with his father) in electronics and this excelled all through his life. He was attending his first semester at Dayton University when he was drawn to study further in the Navy and its new nuclear technology so he quit college and joined the Navy in 1963. Submarines he served on were the USS Scamp, USS Hamilton, and USS Grayling. He was on several tours in a submarine in the Vietnam War. In 1971 he received an honorable discharge. He was an electrical startup engineer for Abbot Labs and Sandia. Then worked for the Dept. of Energy and retired in 1998. He is survived by his brother, Robert Keller of Oregon; his eldest son, John Keller; his only daughter, Jill; and his three sons, Bob Keller, James Keller, and Rick Keller. He will be immensely missed by all who knew and loved him. His eyes would sparkle when he spoke to you, yet was firm in his beliefs and convictions. He used to say, "All we have is His love and that's too much even for me." A viewing will be held Thursday, April 19, 2007 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and his Service will be Friday April 20, 2007 at 10 a.m. All Services are being held in the Riverside Chapel. Arrangements in the care of RIVERSIDE FUNERAL HOME OF ALBUQUERQUE 225 San Mateo NE 764-9663 riversidefunerals.com
