NARAD -- James Leonard Narad "Junkyard Jim" of Albuquerque, NM, died of an apparent heart attack on Easter Sunday April 8, 2007 at his home. Jim was born on August 3, 1938 in Monaca, PA, the son of Valentine and Wilma (Myers) Narad. Prior to retirement he worked as a truck driver for the states of Ohio and New York. He served in the Air Force 6313 ABWG and was honorably discharged in 1960. He was preceded in death by five brothers: Valentine Jr., John, Lawrence, Donald, and Ronald. James is survived by his daughter, Jill Garcia and her husband, Chris, and granddaughters, Amanda, age 11, and Melissa, age 10. He is also survived by his brothers, Thomas Narad and his wife, Helen of Boise, ID, Louis Narad of Largo, FL; and his sister, Rose 'Sis' Benish of Carnville, PA. A viewing will take place on Thursday April 12, 2007 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with a Service to begin at 1:00 p.m. at the Riverside Funeral Home Chapel located at 225 San Mateo NE. Immediately following the Service a reception will be held at the Albuquerque Meadows Mobile Home Park at 7112 Pan American Freeway in the Clubhouse. Burial with Military Honors is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Monday April 16, 2007 at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Arrangements by Riverside Funeral Home of Albuquerque, 764-9663
