ASHE -- Emilio Clarence Ashe, 69, also known as Emil and Papa Sunshine, joined Jesus on Monday evening April 9, 2007. He was born in Heck Canyon, near Springer, NM. He was a longtime resident of Albuquerque where he drove trucks for over 30 years. He ran his own trucking company for 22 years. In retirement, he resided in Buena Vista, NM for over 10 years. He was a life long Catholic and member Knight's of Columbus at St. Gertrude's Church in Mora, NM. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Elizabeth Sarah and their six children: one daughter: Estella and her husband, Chuck Rummelein and their children, Christina, Jason, Heather and Chuck E of Centennial, CO. Son: Adrian Ashe of Buena Vista, NM. Son: Emil Ashe and his wife, Lori and their children, Logan and Chloe of Albuquerque, NM. Son: John Ashe and his wife Ashton and their children, Aubrianna, Avrey, Nicole, Noelle and Zane of Albuquerque, NM. Son: Willie Ashe and his wife, Sari and their children, Ian and Lauren of Albuquerque, NM. Son: Nick Ashe and his wife, Loretta and thier children, Vickii, Michael, and Jacob of Albuquerque, NM. He is also survived by his siblings: Flora Paiz and family of Albuquerque. NM. Virginia Ashe Raybon and family of Albuquerque, NM. Angela Rodriguez and family of Parchute, CO. Arthur Ashe and family of Belen, NM. Stella Archuleta and family of Albuquerque, NM. Reyes Ashe and family of Albuquerque, NM. Grace Olivas and family of Albuquerque, NM. Joseph Ashe and family of Albuquerque, NM. Eliza Ashe Chavez and family of Albuquerque, NM. Patick Ashe and family of Goldendrinas, NM. A Rosary will be held in Emil's honor at St. Gertrude's Church in Mora, NM on Wednesday April 11, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Gertrude's Church in Mora, NM on Thursday April 12, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Internment to immediately follow the Mass in La Cueva, NM. Reception to at 1:30 p.m. at St. Gertrude's Church Parish Hall in Mora, NM. It was Emil's request that in lieu of flowers donations in his name be made to the following: Sister Society of Blessed Trinity of Holman, NM sent in care of St. Gertrude's Church in Mora, NM. He will be missed.
