WRIGHT -- FRANCESCA Famed Artist, Poet and Author Francesca Wright has died in Santa Fe at the age of 96. "FRANCESCA" also known to Albuquerquens' as Frances Schwartz created, along with her husband, Attorney Robert M. Schwartz, her son, Ronn and daughter, Joan, the famous "Wayside Inn Restaurant" in Albuquerque in 1946. For eleven years, they served the wonderful "chicken turnovers" and "lemon chiffon pie" that folks still yearn for. Frances was a member of the "New Mexico Pen Women," and as a member of the Sir Optimist Club in the early 1950's, was one of the original founders of the "All Faiths Receiving Home". She also helped start the New Mexico Art League and was recognized in 1972 as one of the 2000 Women of Achievement. Francesca donated many of her beautiful paintings to charitable causes over the years, and has received accolades for her story of growing up in the Missouri Ozarks in the early 1900s that has recently been published by i Universe-titled "WILDWOOD DAYS". Her son, artist Ronn Wright, his children, Robin, Michael, and Patrick and grandchildren, Michael Paul, Joshua, Kelsey, and Talon along with Francesca's daughter, Joan Schwartz Garrity (former Miss New Mexico) and her sons, Troy and Mark Garrity and Mark's wife, Halla, Joan's daughter, Dawn Garrity-Rodriguez and her husband, Mark and their one month old son, Thoreau L.
