KESSLER -- Marcella E. Kessler, 90, passed away on April 3, 2007. Mrs. Kessler was born on June 25, 1916 in Dubuque, Iowa to Henry and Lena Wagner. Marcella followed her twin sister, Marina Flood, to Tucson, AZ in 1941, and later moved to Denver, Colorado where she met and married Charles Kessler in 1948. They moved to Albuquerque in 1950. Her twin sister came to Albuquerque shortly thereafter. They were inseparable. Marcella passed away six weeks after Marina died. Marcella loved to work in the garden, play cards, and be around her family and friends. She loved to cook, bake, and dance. She was a member of St. Joseph's Auxiliary, the Women's Guild at Annunciation, and the Women's Guild at the Church of Risen Savior since 1979. She taught CCD and was a kindergarten aide at Annunciation, and remained active in the church until her health declined. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Beth Kessler; three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Chuck Kessler; daughter, Becky Dominguez and husband, Max; grandsons, Max C. and Joe M. Dominguez, all of Albuquerque; her brother, Irwin Wagner and wife, Dorothy of Dubuque, IA; sister-in-law, Leta Wagner of Dubuque, IA; brother-in-law, Ralph Heiring of Dubuque, IA; brother-in-law, Jack Kessler, of McMechen, WV; and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Premier Home Health, Presbyterian Home Health and Vista Care Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Casa Angelica Home, 5629 Isleta Blvd. SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105 or the charity of your choice. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2007 at Daniels Family Funeral Services. Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at Risen Savior, with Monsignor Alona officiating. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
