PICHARDO -- Charlotte N. Pichardo, "Charlie", our cherished Mother/Grandmother/Aunt/Sister died peacefully at home in the arms of her loving daughter, Josie, after a lengthy illness on Saturday, March 3, 2007 at the age of 90. Charlie lived a good, long life full of happiness, much humor, with Times of Trial and Tribulations raising 10 children. She is survived by her sister, Monica Burrola; sister-in-law, Trini Gomez, all of California; her children, Capt. and Mrs. Lois Fortunato Pichardo Jr., USN, Ret. of Virginia Beach, VA and Corpus Christi, TX, Juan Pichardo, James Pichardo, Julio Pichardo and wife, Maria, Anthony Pichardo wife, Ann all of Albuquerque, Maria Elena Jaramillo and husband, Manuel of Sacramento, CA, Liella Pichardo of Santa Fe, NM, Priscilla Silva, Ken Cullen, Josie Britton and husband, Jerry, and Monica Eissele, Betty Tapia, devoted daughter-in-law, all of Albuquerque, NM; 28 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Charlie was preceded in death by her husband, Fortunato Cigarorra Pichardo in 1965; parents, Jose Ramirez and Maria Amaro; stepfather, Martin Gomez; sister, Dolores Cabral; brothers, Josito Nieto-Gomez and Jose Nieto; grandson, Michael Lee Bress, and great-grandson, Jonas "Pon" Pichardo. Rosary will be recited on Friday, March 9, 2007, 9:15 a.m., at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5311 Phoenix Avenue NE. Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. with James Pichardo as the urn bearer. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum, 924 Menaul Blvd., NE in the Times and Seasons Room.
