ALONZO -- Carl J. Alonzo, age 80 passed away on January 24, 2007 in Albuquerque, NM. He was born on October 5, 1926 to Carl and Ethel Alonzo in Saratoga Springs, NY. Carl was a lifetime member of the DAV and a member of the Knights of Columbus and a veteran of WWII and the Korean War. Carl was a great cook and a voracious reader. Carl is survived by his five children: Joanne Arendt and boyfriend, Joseph Becker, Toni Alonzo and boyfriend, Scott Joyce, Richard Alonzo, Gerard Alonzo and wife, Rosa Cisneros, and Tim Alonzo and wife, Linda; he is also survived by two grandchildren: Brian Alonzo, Sam Alonzo; and former wife, Grace Alonzo; and extended family of Mary Seeley Alonzo. Carl was preceded in death by his second wife, Mary Seeley and one son, Denis Alonzo. We love you and miss you, dad. A Memorial Rosary will be recited on Sunday, January, 28, 2006, 7:00 p.m., at Risen Savior Catholic Community, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE. A Memorial Mass will be on Monday, January, 29, 2007, 10:00 a.m., at Risen Savior Catholic Community. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.
