SAMARA -- Dr. George Albert Samara, 70, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2006. He was a loving husband and father, and a loyal and devoted friend to many. He was preceded in death by his father Albert; and mother Victoria. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Helen; children, Vicki and Michael; brother, Emile and family; and sister, Leila. For 45 years, he called Albuquerque home and was proud to be employed in the service of our country at Sandia National Laboratories. A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at French Mortuary - Lomas Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd NE. George will be cremated per his wishes and a Memorial Service will be held in his honor on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 9315 Candelaria NE. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Catherine Robinson and Rev. Dr. William Hedrick. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Joy Junction, PO Box 27693, Albuquerque, NM, 87125.
