KUYKENDALL -- Sandra J. Kuykendall passed away late Friday morning, December 29, 2006 in an Albuquerque, NM hospital. Mrs. Kuykendall was born on April 25, 1950 in Rapid City, ND to A. Leland "Shorty" Martin and Joyce E. Mihilis-Martin. She was 56. Mrs. Kuykendall moved to the area in 1958 and was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Kuykendall and father, A. Leland "Shorty" Martin who both died in 1982. She was a very warm, caring person and will be missed by everyone that was lucky enough to know her. She is survived by her mother, Joyce Martin of Grants; sons, Michael Kuykendall and wife, Bernadine of Albuquerque, Edward Kuykendall and his wife, Michele of Albuquerque, Scott Swartz of Plainview, TX; one daughter, Joyce Commo and her husband, Terry of McHenry, IL; four brothers, James Elwood and his wife, Linda of Torrington, WY, Donald Elwood of Denver, CO, John Martin of Albuquerque; one sister, Crystal Riddle and her friend, Terry of Albuquerque, NM; six grandchildren, April Kuykendall of Albuquerque, Sean Kuykendall of Albuquerque, Rendon Kuykendall of Albuquerque, Jude Kuykendall of Albuquerque, and Jessica Commo of McHenry, IL; Felicia Tembroeke of Albuquerque; two great-grandchildren, Robert Tembroeke, Damien Tembroeke, both of Albuquerque; numerous nieces and nephews survive as well. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at Grants Mortuary, Funeral Services will follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at Grants Mortuary with Reverend Martin Baying officiating. There will be no Graveside as cremation will take place. Grants Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
