JONES -- Virgie Jones, age 81, a resident of Los Chavez, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Bryce Jones. She is survived by a daughter, Karen Jones of Los Chavez; son, Nathan Jones and his wife, Sara of Allen, TX; sister, Lavonne McKinley and her husband, Andrew of Los Chavez; two brothers, Oscar Galloway and his wife, Freeda of Belen and Floyd Galloway of Bridgeport, TX; 4 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2007 at 10 AM in the chapel of Riverside Funeral Home of Belen with Pastor Donald Hay officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 9:30 AM. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2 PM on Thursday, January 4, 2006.
