IBSEN -- Jon C. Ibsen, 59, resident of Albuquerque for five years, passed away Friday, December 8, 2006. He is survived by his sister, Karen Ibsen Bryan of Hurst, TX; niece, Kirsten Bryan Daniel of Stephenville, TX; nephew, John Bryan of North Richland Hills, TX; cousin, Brian Ibsen of Albuquerque; many other loving family and friends, including Tristan Pittard, Randy Humphreys, Aurora Morales and Nancy Hubbard Saunders; and his beloved dog, Babe. He is preceded in death by his parents, Chuck and Lil. Jon moved from Buffalo to Fort Worth when he was four years old and was active in Calvary Lutheran Church of Richland Hills, Texas throughout his youth. He sang in the Texas Boys Choir. He graduated from Richland High School and North Texas State University, after which he changed his name from "Jan" to "Jon." He lived in New York City, San Francisco and Los Angeles before finding his home in Albuquerque in 2002. He enjoyed writing and had a wonderful sense of humor. Cremation has taken place and a reception will be held at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, Tuesday, December 12, 2006, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Should friends desire, please make contributions to New Mexico AIDS Services, 625 Truman NE, 87110.
