GARCIA -- Roberto J. Garcia, 60, born August 2, 1946 in Vaughn, New Mexico and a resident of Albuquerque passed away on December 5, 2006. Mr. Garcia is the beloved husband to Mrs. Lasara (Laura) Garcia, married for 39 years in Vaughn, New Mexico. Mr. Garcia is survived by his sons, Michael Garcia and wife, Glenna, Mark Garcia and wife, Holly, Edward Garcia and wife, Jennifer; six grand daughters, Erin, Sebrina, Serena, Jada, Ella and Dulce; three grandsons, Andrew, Ezekiel and Daniel; two sisters, Rosa Sandoval and husband Isidro, Mary Guzman and husband, Juan; three brothers, Albert Garcia, Jimmy Garcia and wife, Iris, Laute Garcia and wife, Ann; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Garcia was preceded in death by his parents, Cirilio and Juanita Garcia and two brothers, Alex and Roy Garcia. Mr. Garcia was a member of the Catholic Church and a graduate of Vaughn High School, May 1965. He joined the U.S. Air Force on July 1965 and retired after 20 years of service in 1985. Mr. Garcia was a member of the D.A.V. Chapter #7. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon at the Church of the Ascension, 2150 Raymac SW from 2:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 3:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Monday morning at Church of the Ascension from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. by Father Edmund Savilla. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. with Military Honors by the U.S. Air Force. Pallbearers will be Tim Merrel, Johnny Madrid, Laute Garcia, Jimmy Garcia, Isidro Sandoval and Dickie Garcia. Honorary pallbearer will be Bill Rhienhart.
