SONNLEITNER -- Theresa M. Sonnleitner, formerly of Albuquerque, age 98, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2006 in Waupaca, WI. Theresa was born April 15, 1908 in Modena, WI, the daughter of the late Paul F. and Pauline (Heck) Pfund. She married John A. Sonnleitner on November 21, 1938 in Madison, WI. He preceded her in death on November 22, 1965. Theresa graduated from Eau Claire High School in 1938, and was employed at Theda Clark Hospital as a licensed practical nurse until her retirement. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Menasha. Theresa moved out to Albuquerque in 1978 and returned to Wisconsin just two years ago. Theresa loved to travel; she enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. Theresa was an accomplished artist using various mediums including oil, acrylic and pastels. Her family continues to enjoy her paintings. She especially enjoyed spending time at her daughter's cottage and knowing about her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren's lives. Theresa is survived by three sons: John (Judith), Appleton, WI, Tom (Cherie), Oshkosh, WI, William (Sharon), Cedar Rapids, IA; her four daughters: Stephanie (Rebecca), Carol (Stan) Strand, Waupaca, WI, Mary (Dave) Sibley, Moriarty, NM, Rita (Doug Long), Rio Rancho, NM; 24 grandchildren: Laura (Dave), Lawrence (Meg), John (Ann), Tom Jr., Tim, Jenny, Holly (Mark), Mary, Cathy, Ann (Brian), Bill (Tammy), Theresa (Gordon), Jenny (Robert), Heather, Todd (Raelene); 15 great-grandchildren: Jacob, Joseph, Jessica, Michael, Samantha, Brianne, Kayla, Brooklyn, Casey, Kaleb, Allison, Andrew, Henry, Allison, and Julia; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Theresa was preceded in death by her daughter, JoAnn Forbush; her sister, Mathilde; four brothers: Herman, Gerhardt, Waldemar, and Carl. Memorial Services for Theresa were held on Saturday, November 25, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Laemmrich Funeral Home, 312 Milwaukee St., Menasha, WI, with Deacon Jerry Cross officiating.
