WATKINS -- Dickerson Roberts Watkins, III, died Thursday, November 16, 2006 in Houston, TX, following an auto-pedestrian accident. Dickerson was born in San Antonio, TX on October 10, 1953. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1980 with a degree in travel and tourism and completed a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Bolivia. Dickerson was employed by Prism Group and worked in Albuquerque and Houston. He was well known in the travel industry and respected by all who knew him. Dickerson is survived by his parents, Win and Dick Watkins of Albuquerque; sisters, Diane Murray and husband, Richard of Colfax, CA and Cynthia Lee and husband, Bruce of Phoenix, AZ; brother, Cory Watkins of Denver; and friend and companion, David Jaqua of Albuquerque. A memorial service will be held Monday, November 27, 2006, 3:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the World Food Program of the United Nations, 1819 L Street NW, Suite 400, Washington, DC 20036.
