POWELL -- Jessie I. Powell, age 83, and a resident of Albuquerque for 59 years, died November 16, 2006 following an illness. Mrs. Powell is survived by her son, Wayne Powell and his wife, Marcella of Albuquerque; one sister, Gladys Holland and her husband, Cecil of Tennessee; one brother, Harry Vann Jr. and his wife, Gayle also of Tennessee; two grandchildren, Adam Powell and his wife, Suzanne of Colorado, and Josh Powell of Albuquerque; three great-grandchildren, Tyler, Tyger, and Trey Powell, all of Colorado. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Wilburn Powell and Claude Marrujo. Services for Mrs. Powell will be held Wednesday November 22, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Fitzgerald and Son with Deacon Jim Delgado officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the New Mexico Diabetes Association, Anna Kaseman Hospice, or The Albuquerque Kidney Center.
