HUFF -- Larry C. Huff (Pop), 67, of Santa Fe, NM passed away Saturday, November 4, 2006. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Clifford and Naomi Huff; and sister, Sharon Webb. He is survived by his brother, Rick Huff and sister-in-law, Betty Huff; his sons, Richard, David, and Michael; daughter-in-law, Traci; daughter, Kathy Slater-Huff; and daughter-in-law, Kristin Slater-Huff. He is also survived by grandchildren, Trevor and Samantha Huff, Dylan Kendall, and Jonathan Slater-Huff. Larry was born in Enid, OK in 1939. He graduated from Putnam City High School in Oklahoma City, OK in 1956 and then served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked many years in restaurant management and car sales in Oklahoma City and Chicago, IL. He moved to Santa Fe in 1991 and began a new career as a custom kitchen designer at Pittman Brothers Cabinetry. Larry had a variety of interests. He was a gifted stained glass, blown glass and beveled glass artisan. For years, he was a player/coach of The Pitts mushball team in Santa Fe. He was a hard-core Chicago Cubs fan, a dedicated Oklahoma Sooner supporter and politically, a rabid Democrat. Larry was a wonderful father and brother, a devoted grandfather, and a very good friend. His sense of humor, kindheartedness and compassion will be greatly missed. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Santa Fe Funeral Options (417 Rodeo Road, Santa Fe, NM). In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Larry's favorite charitable organization, the Santa Fe Community Foundation's Empty Stocking Fund, PO Box 1827, Santa Fe, NM 87504-1827 or to the Democratic Party of New Mexico 1301 San Pedro NE Albuquerque, NM 87110.
