LUCERO -- Agneda "Agnes" Montoya Lucero, 76, a lifetime resident of Albuquerque, passed away October 23, 2006 after a brief illness. Agnes was born April 14, 1930 to Juan and Castelita Montoya in San Juan, NM. Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, Adelaido Lucero, and her son, Robert Lucero. She is survived by three daughters, Sylvia Martinez and husband, Rick, Eva Lucero, and Cathy Galindo; son, Mark Lucero; grandchildren, Andrea, Leroy, Robert, Renno, Adelaido, Steven, Eric, Luke, and Justus; sisters, Grace Martinez and husband, Joe of San Pedro, CA, Romelia Romero and husband, Pete of Albuquerque, NM; and brother, Juan Montoya and wife, Anna of Albuquerque NM; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. After a dedicated career with General Electric, Agnes devoted her time to the Lord as a founding member of Glory Hall, a Queen of Heaven Eucharistic minister and CCD teacher, a Member of the Catholic Charismatic Center, and Jesus es el Camino prayer group. Agnes also enjoyed painting, drawing. Agnes was a beautiful person inside and out, devoting her life to the Lord, family, and friends. She thrived in the pleasure of doing for and giving to others. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be missed by all who knew her. A Rosary will be recited in her honor at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 26, 2006 at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:00 a.m, Friday, October 27, 2006 at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church with a reception following at the parish hall. She is now at peace and will be laid to rest with Dad at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, where a private burial will be held on Friday, November 3, 2006 at 11:30 a.m. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Leroy Martinez, Robert Lucero Jr., Renno Lucero, Luke Lucero, Steven Galindo, and Adelaido Lucero. Honorary pallbearers Eric Galindo and Justus Lucero.
