CLARK -- Frieda Anne Clark, age 79, a resident of Albuquerque since 1965, passed from this life at her home on Sunday, October 22, 2006, after battling cancer for many years with great courage and strength. Frieda Anne Beecroft was born in Alamosa, CO, on November 30, 1926 to Parlie and Zettie Beecroft. The family moved to Santa Fe in 1931 after purchasing the original Santa Fe campground and Grocery Store where she was raised before graduating from Santa Fe high School in 1945. In 1947, while working at the La Fonda Hotel in Santa Fe, Frieda met and married her husband Bill Clark, and soon afterwards moved to Deming, NM where their three sons were born. The family moved again to Las Vegas ,NM and finally to Albuquerque, where they settled permanently. Frieda worked hard all her life to help support her four children. She was manager of the Lenkurt Cafeteria for many years, office manager at AM International and at Superior Business Products before retiring. But she will always be remembered most for her great cooking and delicious recipes, her excellent skills with sewing and quilting which always made her happy making beautiful things for family and friends. She was also very proud of her woodworking skills and often regretted not pursing her professional dreams of becoming a carpenter. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1990, William Lewis Clark; her parents, Joseph Parlie Beecroft and Zetta Elmira Land Beecroft; and her brother, Ralph Emerson Beecroft. She is survived by her three sons, Richard A. Clark and wife, Hyon Suk Clark of Bellflower, CA, Joseph M. Clark of Albuquerque, William L. Clark Jr. and wife, Jeanne Sill of Las Cruces, NM; one daughter, Vicki L. Clark and husband, Steven Dawes of Albuquerque; two stepdaughters, Anna Louise "Sue" Jones of San Rafael CA, Sandra Lynn Turner of Phoenix AZ; four grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren; other family members whom she loved and her dearest remaining friends. A public visitation will be held on Friday October 27, 2006 at 6:00 p.m. at the Daniels Family Funeral Services NE Heights Chapel. A Memorial Service for Frieda will take place on the following day, Saturday , October 28, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services NE Chapel. Graveside Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Santa Fe Memorial Gardens, 417 Rodeo Rd. Santa Fe, NM. The family also wishes to thank Marianita Gorman with Assisted Living, for caring and doing so much for our mother. Mary, Luella and staff with Vista Care for your wonderful help in her final days, and a big special thanks to Dr. Victor Vigil and his caring staff who gave our mom so much hope, love and even making her smile during her years of various cancer treatments.
