HAINES -- Nancy Marie Haines of Corrales, NM, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2006 after a 30-year battle with lupus. She is survived by her mother and father, Janice and Charles Haines of Corrales; and her brothers, Charles Haines Jr. of Palo Alto, CA, and Chris Haines of Washington, DC. Nancy was born in San Jose, CA, on September 5, 1959. She graduated from Pleasant Valley High School in Chico, CA in 1977 and graduated from CSU Chico in 1997 with a Master's of Science degree in Industrial Technology. Nancy was a passionate advocate for animals and the underprivileged, donating her time and efforts to both causes. She was also an avid film enthusiast, a lifetime fan of the books of Stephen King, an accomplished knitter, and a loving sister and daughter. Memorial Services will be held at All Saints Lutheran Church at 4800 All Saints Road NW, Albuquerque, on Friday, October 13, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Nancy's name to local food bank Storehouse West, 1030 Veranda Road, SE, Rio Rancho, NM, 87124 or to C.A.R.M.A. Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 1233, Corrales, NM 87048.
