CHAVEZ -- Margaret Chavez, "Auntie Peggy", went home with the Lord on Sunday, September 24, 2006 surrounded by her family. She was born October 20, 1945 and passed away at the age of 60 after a full and blessed life. Peggy was a 1963 graduate of St. Vincent's Academy which she attended from 1st-12th grade. Peggy went on to work for Albuquerque Family Health Center for 18 years and continued giving aid to people as a caregiver for the rest of her days. Peggy was preceded in death by her father and mother, Silvano and Josephine; brothers, Pete Sr., Benny, Silvano Jr., Clemente; sister, Merlinda; nephew, David; and niece, Loretta. She is survived by a sister and best friend, Jo Ann; and nephew, Jimmy, whom she helped raise; two brothers, Benton and wife, Mona and George and wife, Esther; sisters-in law, Vangie, Bernadine, and Maryann; five nieces; and 13 nephews; and many cousins and friends. There will be a viewing Thursday September 28, 2006 at 6:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial at 7:00 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Garcia Mortuary lead by cousin, Pastor Ignacio Chavez. A final viewing will be held Friday September 28, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. followed by Funeral Services at 10:00 a.m. at Restoration Ministry, 824 San Mateo. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be nephews Jimmy, Pete Jr., Benny, John, Benton Jr., and Nathan. Honorary pallbearers will be all remaining nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank everyone for their love and prayers through this difficult time.
