HALTON -- Melba Donnette Cole Halton, 57, passed away Monday, August 28, 2006 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 28, 1949 in Alamo, TN, the eldest child of Ivory Lee and Johnnie Marion Klyce Cole. She married Eugene Halton, December 2, 1972 in Alamo, TN. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Euchrista Halton, Naletta (Kevin) Elliott, all of Albuquerque; two grandsons, Kamari, and Da'Vory. Also surviving are one brother and two sisters, Ivory Lee Cole, Jr., Alamo, TN; Marilyn (Billy) Williams, Racine, WI; Ramona (Earl) Hester, Long Branch, NJ. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Donninya. Pallbearers will be Al Wren, Jason Elliott, Richard Wooten, Jr., Jamel Ellison, Michael Scott and Brandon Boyer. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, September 2, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the Phillips Chapel CME, 1401 Edith Blvd. SE with Reverend William W. Dorn, Jr. officiating. Friends may call Friday, September 1, 2006 at French Mortuary - Westside Chapel. Interment will take place in Alamo, TN.
