BACA -- Cipriano E. Baca, age 74, passed away after a brief battle with cancer. He was at home surrounded by his family members and friends. Cipriano was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Baca and his sisters, Rosemary Mercado and husband, David, Sylvia Baca and husband, Phillip. He is survived by his son, Manuel and wife, Kristi; grandchildren, Natassja, Manuel and Sydnie; brothers, George Baca and wife, Ida, Arthur Baca and wife, Dolores; sister, Eutemia Carron and husband, Charlie; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved and will miss him. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church at 4th and Alameda NW, Friday, September 1, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. with U.S. Navy Honors.
