ROMERO -- Irene Romero, 65, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 11, 2006. Irene was born on May 13, 1941 to Nicanor and Juanita Saavedra of Albuquerque. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who taught her family about the value of hard work and staying strong. Her family will miss her warmth, compassion and love. Mrs. Romero was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Michelle. She is survived by her husband, Anthony J. Romero; her sons, Michael Martinez, Andrew Martinez, Rodger Martinez, and Paul Martinez; a daughter, Cynthia Davis; sister, Mary Jo Laredo; a brother, Nick Saavedra; grandchildren, Michelle, Mikie, Anthony, Melanie, Mariah, Donald, Andrew Jr., Drew, Noah, Shammon, Jacquelyn, Emerald, Denver, Irene, Ahna Leah; and great-granchildren, Alexis, Danny Jr., and Damien.
