ROMERO -- Anastacia (Anna) Romero, 82, went home to be with the Lord on August 5, 2006 in Albuquerque. Anastacia was born in Anton Chico, NM on August 6, 1923 to the late Juan Duran and Juanita Rael Rodarte-Pino. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jose Filimon Romero; grandson, Joseph Andre Romero; and brother, Genovevo Pino. She is survived by one son, Joe Romero; and four daughters, Seffie Pacheco and husband, John, Gloria Valdez and husband, William, Bernadette Lueras and husband, Archie, and Anna Romero; four grandchildren, Chris Pacheco and wife, Janine, Mark Lueras and Suzie, Debra Lueras and husband, Raymond, and Erik Lueras; one great-grandchild, Markus Mathias Lueras, who brought her much joy and a smile to her face; a special friend, Pat Benavidez who was very dear to her, also numerous nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends who she loved dearly. Anastacia will be deeply missed by her loving family. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the wonderful people at Presbyterian Hospice and very special and dear friend Rose Mena who cared for Anastacia during her last days. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6:30 - 7:00 at St. Anne's Catholic Church at 1400 Arenal Rd. SW with a Rosary following. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Anton Chico, NM. Time and date is pending. If any question contact the family.
