JOHNSON -- John Alan Johnson "JJ", of Racine, WI, formerly of Albuquerque, NM, age 45, passed away Monday August 7, 2006 at St. Mary's Medical Center. John was born in Arlington Heights, IL March 25, 1961, son of Gerald and Nancy (nee: Rowe) Johnson. John was a resident of Albuquerque, NM until recently when he moved to Racine to be nearer to his sister. He had been employed with Perfection Honda in Albuquerque. JJ enjoyed water skiing and snow skiing and was an avid golfer. More than anything, he was a loving father, son, brother and uncle and will be dearly missed. John is survived by his son, Chandler Johnson of Albuquerque, NM; his parents, Gerald (Beverly) Johnson of Coupeville, WA, Nancy Rowe of Lenexa, KS; brother and sisters, Michael Johnson of Ogden, UT, Michelle Johnson (Ann Marie Ruffalo) of Racine, Jill (Rick) Halstead of Lenexa, KS; nieces and nephews, Casey, Cailey, Carissa and Cameron; aunts, uncles, cousin, other relatives and dear friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring St., Saturday, August 12, 2006, 10:30 a.m., with Rev. William J. Dietzler officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Kinzie Ave. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass. The family extends a special thank you to the ICU staff at St. Mary's for their loving and compassionate care given to John.
