RIVERA -- Joe Eli Rivera, age 67, passed away Friday, August 4, 2006. He was a lifelong resident of Sile, NM. Joe worked as Store Manager of Santo Domingo Trading Post for 38 years. He was also a farmer and rancher, as well as a Manager of the Sile Water Association. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Lisandro and Rita Rivera; sister, Clovia Segura; nephews, Anthony and Gilbert Lee Romero. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Enedina Rivera; children, Raul Rivera, Elias Rivera and wife Wilma; and Leonard Rivera; grandchildren, Martin Rivera, Barbara Rivera, Allison Herrera,Grace Herrera and Mary Herrera; six great grand children; brothers, Roy Rivera and wife Katie; Lisandro Rivera and wife Josie; James Rivera and wife Pita; Bernie Rivera and wife Melba; Fred Rivera and wife Kathy; sisters, Mary Ann Arthur, Virginia Ortiz and husband Davis; nieces, nephews, other family members and friends who loved and miss him. Services will be held at St. Barbara Catholic Church in Sile, NM. A Rosary will be recited on Monday, August 7, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the St. Barbara Cemetery.
