PEREZ -- Rodney J. Perez, 39, entered into eternal rest with our dear Lord and Savior on July 30, 2006. Rodney was an accomplished hairdresser and fulfilled his dream of opening his own hair studio "Alchemy" along side with his lifelong partner, Ray Cowley. Rodney was given the gift of touching the lives of so many people. Rodney leaves behind those to cherish his memories his parents, Mary M. Reyes and Ruben Perez; sisters, Dina Perez and Vanessa Garcia; nephews, Gabriel and Cristian Garcia and Patrick Perez-Renteria; niece, Annalise Garcia; and a large host of family and friends. Rodney will be greatly missed however the energy of his love will carry us through. A Celebration of his life will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 5, 2006 at Risen Savior Catholic Church, 7701 Wyoming NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Ryan White Foundation or The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, MSC 084630, 900 Camino de Salud NE, Albuquerque, NM 87131. Our family wishes to extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Trever Hawkins, M.D., his staff at Southwest C.A.R.E Center in Sante Fe and his nurse Leslie Beare at St. Vincent Hospital also in Santa Fe.
