TORRES -- Jose Ignacio Torres, 72, long time resident of Albuquerque, originally from Taos, went home to our Lord on Sunday, July 30, 2006. He is survived by his wife, Virginia; six children, Emily, Loretta and husband, Dennis, Berlinda, Peggy and husband, Gabriel, Pamela and husband, George and David and wife, Susan; nine grandchildren, Leslie, Valerie, Amanda, Aaron, Michael, Elias, David, LeaJo and Mathias; one great-grandchild, Jameson; two brothers, Elden and John Torres; and many extended family and friends. Mr. Torres was preceded in death by his parents, Jacobo and Manuelita; in-laws, Clemente and Maria; and his brothers, Octaviano and Julian. He was a hard working carpenter and rancher and loved walking, spending time in the outdoors and socializing with everyone that came his way. Mr. Torres was also a loving husband and father and will be greatly missed. Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, August 1, 2006, 7:00 p.m., at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 9502 4th Street NW. Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 2, 2006, 9:00 a.m., at the Nativity. Interment will take place at 1:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
