GARCIA -- Ernest D. Garcia, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away July 29, 2006. Ernest was born November 7, 1919 in Willard, NM. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II as an Army Tech Sergeant in the Europe and Philippine Theatre. From 1948 to 1979, Ernest was employed as an educator in the following N.M. School systems: Magdalena, Los Lunas, Moriarty, and Albuquerque Public Schools. Ernest is survived by his wife Josephine (Fita); five children, their spouses; six grandchildren; and two sisters. A Funeral Mass will be held at Risen Savior Church on Tuesday, August 1, 2006, at 11:30 a.m. followed by a reception. Ernest will be cremated and a private burial will be held.
