LEWIS -- Carl Lewis went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday, July 23, 2006. Funeral Services will be in Lubbock, TX, at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at Resthaven's Abbey Chapel with Rev. Paul Jantzen officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Those who wish to pay their respects to Carl may visit Resthaven Funeral Home between 1:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., Monday, July 24, 2006. Carl was born August 19, 1930 in Stead, NM to Raymond and Ida (Lechner) Lewis. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad and retired after 28 years of service. Carl was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and a member of Trinity Church. He loved his family, his church, and his God. He will be deeply missed by his family. Carl is survived by Gladys, his sweet wife of 53 years; sons, Mike Lewis and his wife, Diana of Albuquerque, NM, Steve Lewis of Lubbock, TX; and grandsons, Micah Lewis of Ridgecrest, CA and Joshua Lewis of Albuquerque.
