MCDANNEL -- Val Robert McDannel, 69, passed away, Sunday, May 28, 2006 after a short illness. He was born April 2, 1937 in Albuquerque, the only child of Val and Mary Margaret Shirley McDannel. Survivors include his beloved wife, Anne; children; Val (Marcia) McDannel, Thornton, CO, Audie (Vernon) Hankins, Orlando, FL, Susan (Jim) Saunier, Barbara Sutherland, and Andrew (Grace) Sutherland, all of Rio Rancho, NM; nine grandchildren, and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Lori Farrell. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, June 2, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Rio Rancho, 3906 19th Ave. Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Friends may call Thursday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at French Mortuary, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW. Interment will be in the Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul. Luncheon will follow at the church.
