ROSEN -- Harry Rosen, 81, of Albuquerque, NM, died Monday, April 24, 2006 at his home. He was born March 24, 1925 in Manhattan, NY to the late Isadore and Esther Rosen. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ruth; three sons, Jeff Rosen and his wife, Lynne of Albuquerque, Ira Rosen, of Albuquerque, and Eliot Rosen and his wife, Felicia of Stoughton, MA; six grandchildren, Jessica, Katya, Kostya, Rachel, Madeline, and Nina. Harry was a veteran of the 45th Infantry, Thunderbird Division, of the U.S. Army of World War II. He fought in North Africa, Italy, and the Middle East, earning two Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star. This band had the distinct honor of meeting Eleanor Roosevelt. After the war, he married Ruth and raised a family on Long Island, NY where he worked and managed a restaurant. He moved with his family in 1972 to Albuquerque to pursue his lifelong dream of owning his own restaurant. That dream became a reality in 1974 when he and his family established the Intermission Deli. Harry was very active with the Jewish War Veterans until his death. In lieu of flowers, the Rosen family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Jewish War Veterans, Post 375, P.O.
